A consistent and repeatable due diligence process, conducted by in-house professionals, combines quantitative analysis with qualitative judgment. We look for managers who have conviction in their investments built on deep fundamental analysis. We take this position with investments from all asset classes and adjust details of our approach based on the nuances of each. Other characteristics we look for include strong long-term historical returns, a competitive expense ratio and cost structure, and a manager compensation structure that focuses on long-term performance. Ultimately, we believe we can provide long-term value to clients by identifying managers who use deep fundamental analysis to invest with conviction. Having direct contact with investment managers is an important facet of ongoing due diligence and a critical role of our research professionals. We continually evaluate current relationships and potential new managers for our clients.
